"The Order of Architects Languedoc Languedoc-Roussillon organizes an annual design contest for students of the Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Montpellier. The College has about their proposed this to imagine an extension and rehabilitation of the library of Perpignan and layout of the Fontaine Neuve place .
The city of Perpignan is committed for several years in a process of urban plan, with clearly stated ambition to become a city attractive and dynamic city center. The desire is to win back a municipal downtown degraded by providing it with all signs of modernity.
In this spirit, the Association of Architects has offered students the following program:
- The rehabilitation and expansion of the library
- The development of the Place Neuve Fontaine and his grip on the outlying streets of the university, Emile Zola and Fontaine Neuve
- Enhancement of administrative and cultural hub extremely dense and rich in terms of heritage and history.
